Paul and Holly have worked tirelessly for British Transport Police (BTP) and the Wellbeing Team for the last 4 years. As an ex BTP Police Officer, Paul has a comprehensive understanding of the traumatic daily events which can happen on the railway. Holly has been an absolute boon to those officers and staff who face traumatic experiences daily and her ability to automatically get people talking is second to none. Paul and Holly have been nationally committed for BTP covering England, Scotland and Wales.
Both are always on hand should the force experience a critical or major incident and are often asked to both attend the scene within 48 hours. This dedication from them both never goes unnoticed. Holly is always so welcome and popular at BTP and has firsthand experience in dealing with operational Police Officers, staff in the control rooms, CCTV units and most importantly, the scenes of crime teams – she has even had her paw prints taken just in case!
The power of a waggy tail in the office after you’ve attended a fatality, critical or major incident is just the lift that is needed, and both provide this in abundance. Their colleagues feel very honoured to work alongside them. Upon retirement from Policing, Paul set up his own company, Blue Paw Wellbeing & Trauma Support, providing a wide range of services including compassionate, informed assistance to individuals affected by PTSD, trauma, and mental health challenges.
