As UK Emergency Responders gear up for Christmas and its impact on stress, we want to help teams prepare early to stay resilient. We are offering 3-5 hours of time with Dr Jess, Paul and Holly the dog, bespoke for you and your team. There are just 3 places for teams (15-20 individuals per team) on 9th, 16th or 17th December.
Attendance at Conferences, Training and Functions. When a dog is brought into the workplace, the atmosphere changes and people want to meet and play with the dog. During this time together, they share oxytocin, Oxytocin is typically linked to warm, fuzzy feelings and shown in some research to lower stress and anxiety. Oxytocin has the power to regulate our emotional responses and pro-social behaviours, including trust, empathy, positive memories, and positive communication.
Personal One to One Wellbeing
Engaging, open and honest conversations nothing better than a walk and talk in the open air with a dog at the end of the lead, we specialise in experiencing and managing the short and long term effects of trauma, PTSD, Depression and Stress.
When a dog is brought into the workplace, the atmosphere changes and people want to meet and play with the dog. Encouraging the workforce to take some time away from the Desk, Phones and e mails to spending time engaging with the dog This allows a sense of happiness time to de stress, allowing time to talk and relax, Feedback has shown that Paws Time was the best part of the day and enhanced productivity and a happier work place
One to One or Group sessions , Walking in the outdoors with the Wellbeing Dog allows a relaxed environment to talk, with no direct eye contact and the presence of the dog this breaks the ice and encourages talking. Walk and Talks have been proven to work well with new diagnosis of PTSD
Presentations to Law, Criminology, Policing and Emergency services students to help develop their understanding of what is involved in policing and build their resilience for those planning a career in policing or law enforcement
Police officers both serving and retired having experienced Major Incidents including Rail Crashes and more recently attendance at Terrorist Incidents, provide moving real life personal presentations about how trauma affected them and how they live with PTSD and overcame their own mental health.
